Costume, Technical, Stage Management and Audience Services Staff
The Colorado Shakespeare Festival, which is presenting its 52th season this summer, is hiring in all production areas: scenery, props, lighting, sound, costumes, run crew, facilities crew, stage management, company management and audience services.
A season of classical and contemporary plays are staged in the historic 1,004-seat Mary Rippon Outdoor Theatre and the 406-seat indoor Main Stage University theatre, both located on the CU Boulder campus. All shows will be played in repertory between June and mid to late August.
The productions will be rehearsed and mounted in 6-10 weeks with opening dates between mid-June and the end of June. Most of the costume and technical staff are to arrive in Boulder in early to mid-May and are under contract for 6 to 15 weeks. The stage management staff and some production staff members will be asked to arrive early. Audience Services staff arrivals vary. We have a six-day work week, with Sundays off during much of the build and Mondays off thereafter. All staff members should anticipate 48-54 hours of work per week during the rehearsal/build period.
Stipends for the costume, technical, stage management staff and apprentices range from approximately $1,200 to $4,000, before taxes, plus free housing. We are seeking applicants for the following positions:

Food and medical insurance (beyond the on-the-job accident insurance provided by the University) are the responsibility of each individual. CSF will secure company housing near campus (housing is included for most positions) . We usually accommodate four people in each furnished, two-bedroom unit. You must provide your own bedding and kitchen utensils.
In mid to late January, 2009 we will begin reviewing applications. We will continue to accept applications until all positions are filled.
